• Yes, it can use on any surface (not on clear glass) but in my opinion a pad will do ir work softer.

• I use it on mtiple surfaces with no mouse pad. From my bedsheets to wooden table top this mouse is awesome. I love it.

• It will work on most surfaces like a desk but it is definitely better with a mousepad because the feet are made so that the mouse has little friction when sliding around. I found that when I didn’t use a mousepad it was a little difficult to be precise but you can adjust the dpi if needed

• Probably to late for this answer but STAY AWAY from this mouse. My husband and I both bought this mouse and mine went dead after 6 months. My husbands started doing the same as mine before mine died. He has returned his before the return window closed. If you’ve purchased this mouse. I would return it ASAP.
