Not sure, I got the geek squad 3yr coverage, so being local they take care of any issues no matter what happens to the laptop for 3 years. If you are out of the country, you can either work with Razer or In case you have the geek squad protection, you maybe able to mail the unit in, but check with best buy. If you don't buy the geeks squad protection, you get 1year warranty from Razer no matter where you buy the laptop from. I heard some complaints from people trying to deal with Razer directly, that's why i bought the best buy 3yr protection. I hope this helps.
