“Can the you update the firmware through the Xbox? Or does it need to be done on a pc?”

• The headphones are designed to be able to update via Xbox, however the latest browser update will not allow downloads so this function is no longer available. I’ve seen some videos for a way to get around this problem but it’s very involved. I personally use one of the presets and it is a great improvement over my old headset.

• PC only for update. After that Xbox can do rest. They sound great
