My OnePlus 7Pro will not fit with the dbrand grip case. I would assume unless the case is extremely slim and your phone is small, it will not fit unless you take off the case on your phone.

I tried using a case but it just doesn't feel like the phone will stay securely and risk dropping it. I avoid that but just taking off the case prior to using the controller.

It supports Android devices within the supported dimensions of 145.3 – 163.7 mm (Height) x 68.2–78.1 mm (Width) x 7.0 – 8.8 mm (Depth). That's what really sucks about accessories. Companies think people will carry a $1400 phone around with no case on it.
