yup you have to use razer synapse or you'll be stuck with the auto cycling lights and thats it.

If you want to customize the color, then you’ll probably have to download Razer Synapse and the Visualizer, otherwise they’ll run through a default color cycle until you adjust the Volume (represented in green) and the Bass (represented in blue).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Razer Synapse has gotten a lot more streamlined over the years, but yes. If you want to do the ‘glow’ or ‘wave’ you need to download it. Otherwise the speakers are stuck on a static one color which I believe is green.
