The universal remote worked really well on my Vizio TV, but I have no idea whether it will work on the TCL ROKU TV. I would purchase it and take it home and try it and if it doesn't work then return it the store. On the back of the package it tells you what it will work with read the back of the package before you get it. If you don't find it on the back of the -package then you will definitely find it on the inside of the package. I was kind of skeptical about purchasing the universal remote but I am glad that I did. TRUST ME that device works on a lot of devices. I hope that this helps you.
