“Does the input/source have to be selected before playing a DVD I need to find a TV/DVD combo that will automatically play the DVD without having to select the input source. I'm hoping this TV does that. I need this for my elderly mother who cannot figure out the input/source changes.”

• No, you just put in the DVD and it starts to play. But when you eject the DVD you have to change the input/source back to TV or cable. The other problem with this TV (and all TV's as I have experienced) is that the menus are VERY small and VERY difficult to read. I do not understand why manufacturers make this mistake because the screens are so large.
