Hello JohnP - Hello, the USB cable included with the RCA ANTB55E antenna and other amplified antennas is solely for powering the antenna’s amplifier—it does not transmit video or audio signals. No antennas use HDMI connections because antennas receive over-the-air broadcast signals, which must be processed by a TV’s built-in tuner or an external tuner device. Instead, antennas connect to your TV using a coaxial RF (Radio Frequency) connection, which is the standard method for transmitting over-the-air signals. Your TV should have an "Antenna In" or "RF In" coaxial port—this is where you should connect your antenna’s coaxial cable. After connecting, make sure to go into your TV’s settings and perform a Channel Scan to detect available channels. If you need help troubleshooting, check your TV’s owner’s manual for input selection and scanning instructions, or visit https://www.rcaantennas.net/ask-engineer/.
