  • QuestionWill this work with a Samsung tv?

    Asked by Chloe.

    • Answer Hello Kate - The antenna will work as long as your Samsung TV has a ATSC digital TV tuner built-in. Listed within your TV’s specifications (somewhere inside your TV owners manual), there will be a type of “tuner” listed. Your Samsung TV must have “ATSC” listed as the type of tuner. Most TV's built after 2007 have this type of tuner. An easy way to find out is by entering your TV’s model number and performing a Quick Google Search for your TV model number. Again, the type of tuner listed should be an “ATSC” and NOT and “NTSC”. If your TV does not have an ATSC tuner built in, you can still use the antenna but you will need to purchase a digital converter box. You can purchase any brand of digital converter box from Best Buy. If you can send us a quick email to [email protected] with your zip code, we can determine what antenna would be best suited for your specific location.

  • QuestionWhat is the range for this antenna?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Says 40 miles but to be honest I can’t get local stations less the antenna is sticking out a window

      Answered by Imso517

  • QuestionIf I want to put this antenna in the window, how low is the cable?

    Asked by Mojo.

    • Answer Cable is short, maybe 3 feet. I'm sure you can buy a different, longer coaxial cable and it should work fine to reach a window. My box sits in the middle of a room behind my TV and about 10ft from my window and it works fine.

  • QuestionIf im by a cell phone tower could I use a LTE/5G Filter to help with signal?

    Asked by Bob.

    • Answer Hello Bob – Yes, an LTE/5G filter can help reduce interference from nearby cell phone towers by blocking signals outside the TV broadcast frequency range. This can improve reception if strong mobile signals are disrupting your TV antenna’s performance.

  • QuestionDoes this model have an HDMI connector? I recently purchased RCA model ANTB55E, only to find out it has a USB connector, but no HDMI connector. My TV does have a USB input slot and two HDMI input slots, but no USB option as an input source.

    Asked by JohnP.

    • Answer Hello JohnP - Hello, the USB cable included with the RCA ANTB55E antenna and other amplified antennas is solely for powering the antenna’s amplifier—it does not transmit video or audio signals. No antennas use HDMI connections because antennas receive over-the-air broadcast signals, which must be processed by a TV’s built-in tuner or an external tuner device. Instead, antennas connect to your TV using a coaxial RF (Radio Frequency) connection, which is the standard method for transmitting over-the-air signals. Your TV should have an "Antenna In" or "RF In" coaxial port—this is where you should connect your antenna’s coaxial cable. After connecting, make sure to go into your TV’s settings and perform a Channel Scan to detect available channels. If you need help troubleshooting, check your TV’s owner’s manual for input selection and scanning instructions, or visit https://www.rcaantennas.net/ask-engineer/.

  • QuestionI'mtryig to hook up RCA. indoor antenna to my 2009 DYNEX TV ns I get a no signal

    Asked by Mark.

    • Answer Just hook up the coaxial cable that's provided from your TV to the antenna make sure it's on sometimes on a windy day the screen can be pixeled hey it's better than paying $200 a month for cable and hardly anything on TV anymore anyway.

  • QuestionCan this be attached to the TV along with the cable box? I want the antenna to access local channels not carried by my cable provider but want the other cable channels.

    Asked by CurtA.

    • Answer Yes, mine works great along with my DirecTV cable box. I get some local channels, especially Fox Channel that's been recently blocked...it works good, set up by my TV in the middle of the room. It has it's own short coaxial cable that screwed directly into the back of my TV w/o having to change or unscrew my cable box.

  • QuestionDo I have to have it close to a window or can I put the antenna behind the TV where it's not visible

    Asked by Los.

    • Answer Hello Los - Typically, the nearer a window and the higher up you place your antenna, the better chances you have of receiving the over-the-air broadcast TV signals. The biggest factors in whether an antenna can receive a signal relates to the broadcasters power and the signal strength at the your specific location, the surrounding terrain, whether or not there is an actual line of sight to the broadcast towers, meteorological conditions, large nearby structures and the construction materials used in your dwelling. If you can send us a quick email to [email protected] with your zip code we can take a look to see what other specific information we may be able to provide to help you.

  • QuestionHow does it connect to T V

    Asked by Me.

    • Answer Hello Me - This antenna connects to your TV using the standard coaxial cable that comes attached to the antenna. Simply connect that cable to the “ANT/Cable In” port on the back of your television, plug in the antenna’s power adapter if it’s an amplified model, and then run a channel scan (Auto Program) through your TV’s settings menu so it can detect the available over-the-air channels in your area.
