Since I'm not in a flight path, I don't know whether my answer will help. However I'm not far from MaDill AFB and helicopters & planes flying around are not uncommon. I find this antenna to be more than satisfactory. I have never had to rescan and the reception, for the most part, is excellent. I assume you have googled the area towers and have directed your antenna toward them. My only suggestion would be to purchase this antenna and try it out. Best Buy has a fair return/exchange policy so if it doesn't work, you can return it. There is a more expensive antenna available but I'm not sure that its value isn't just that it brings in channels from a greater distance, which would probably not solve your problem. I can only recommend that you try the RCA antenna. Good luck--and if it DOES work, I hope you will tell Best Buy so they can use it as an additional advantage to this product.
