• Perhaps, but not very well. Acoustic energy decreases quickly with distance. Sounds closer and/or louder than the sea lions will be much more prominent. The sea lions, will, at best be a faint background sound. The first rule of video is don't have crappy audio. Having your microphone 100 yards from your sound source is a good way to have crappy audio.

• Yes it will with the wind screen on clear sound recorded. I went to the beach and it picked up seagulls from far feeding on the bunker from a good 500 feet from land. The mic rocks
