• As long as you purchase the short adapter cable that changes it from TRS to TRRS. All smartphones including Apple use TRRS. The microphone comes with a TRS cable.

• Yes, Absolutely! I just got the iPad Air and the Rode VideoMirco and they work get together. I am recording, editing, and uploading to my YouTube from my iPad Air. Just make sure you have the Rode TRS to TRRS Patch cable and the Apple - Lightning-to-3.5mm Headphone Adapter.
