Yes, this product can work with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Smartphone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this Rode microphone with my Galaxy Note 9 smartphone, and it's wonderful! I started with a Comica Smartphone kit from Amazon, and it included a tripod, phone mount, TRS/TRSS cable, hotshoe, and a microphone. The microphone was defective, so I purchased this Rode VideoMicro from Best Buy and mounted it to the Comica kit in place of the defective microphone. You will need a TRS/TRSS cable to plug into your phone, as the included cable from Rode is for DSLR cameras. You might want to look into buying a kit that has a full rig and just subbing this Rode mic with whatever cheap one comes with the kit. The difference in sound with the Rode vs. cheap microphone is night & day. Wind is barely audible with the Rode, and there is no static. Definitely buy the Rode from an authorized retailer like Best Buy or the warranty will be void.
