I use the Rode system with mac devices and for laptops and iPhones I had to buy adapters to connect the 3.5 mm jack for the receiver part of the system. I would say that it should work for your One plus 8 but you have to buy an additional type C USB adapter for the 3.5 mm mic jack. It will be better if you get a split adapter with input for mic and headphones. Hope tis is helpful.
