This is merely a to be a extension of your phones antenna perse.. i just received and installed mine.. have yet to road test with it. Theres Antennas- collects signal, some cellphones have a ext. antenna plugin Boosters- usually found in houses like a rave unit or something that most likely uses some wifi from your router Repeaters- Effective and not to be confused with stick on antennas, boosters ect.. Proven and used by military and truckers.. made in different ways.. they repeat the cell and tower signal to eachother only amplified. Hope this helps but plz look into each on further yourself.
