- Answer No. The Square reader is designed to work only with Square’s software. It won’t connect to Stripe or other processors. If you need to use Stripe, you’d have to use their own hardware (like Stripe Terminal).

- Answer Square has a procedure in the trouble shooting section on doing a full factory reset. Perform the reset and re-pair the reader/iPad through the settings-hardware-card reader menus and it will work just fine. I had to do it 2-3 times in the last couple of weeks.
