• APC is a brand....CyberPower is lower cost @ Best Buy... 650va - very reasonable price ..A UPS is not proprietary, it's just a load back-up-, What's more important is the AVR (automatic voltage regulator) to buff components against drops/spikes... Buy a UPS w/AVR
