• The Nikon EN-EL14 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery is compatible with the Nikon D3400, D5600, D5300, D5500, D3300, D3200, DF, D5300, D5200, D5100, D3100, COOLPIX P7800, COOLPIX P7700, COOLPIX P7100 and the COOLPIX P7000. The EN-EL14a Rechargeable Li-ion Battery is also compatible with these cameras types, however, some camera bodies in this list may need a firmware update to receive the full use of this particular battery. • There is no D4300. If you really meant the Nikon D3400 which is a DSLR (camera with a mirror and removable lenses), then yes. If you mean the S4300 Nikon Coolpix which is a point and shoot all-in-one , then NO. For the D-3400, use only the EN-EL-14a. There is a slight voltage difference between the two batteries. The battery life indicator in the D3400 is based on using the EN-EL14a.
