If the external power source can ensure an output of **2.5A**, a power bank can be used to supply power to the dashcam. However, a power bank cannot support the dashcam running for a long period of time, as the device requires **at least about 2000mA of power per hour**. More importantly, if a power bank operates for a long time in a high-temperature environment, there is a risk of overheating or even fire. Therefore, we do not recommend using a power bank to power the dashcam for extended periods. It is recommended to use the **original car charger** or a **hardwire kit** to supply power to the device.
