A:AnswerMy old Harmony remote requires IR direct line of sight, may have invented before Bluetooth. In any case, I think Harmony no longer sells either controller.
A:Answerunfortunately, the answer is complex. I needed to link a Google voice device with my set-top box from the cable company., Comcast does not make a set-top box that will take verbal commands to perform the functions a remote control would. After much research the only device I could find to do this was the harmony hub. It requires that you obtain an application from harmony on your smart phone.
I read every article I could find and looked at every video I could on how it works. I spent weeks figuring and figuring. I concluded it was impossible for a layperson to do and contacted geek squad. The technician was excellent and fixed my problem and explained what he was doing. There is no way someone without expert knowledge could achieve the link.
