According to the specs of the control, A17 is compatible with your model TV (see below.) We have the A15 and had no problems just installed the batteries and it worked right off the bat. Here are the specs: Compatible with select Insignia™ TVs With a model number ending in 10A, A11, A12, A13, A14, A15, A16, A17 or A18. Note: not compatible with TV/DVD combination models.
