• I am not sure about the exact decibel rating but it's about average. I have heard some that are a lot louder than this one but it definitely isn't silent by any means.

• Just checked it with an SPL meter and is 68 decibels on low and 74 decibels on high which is pretty quiet for a hair dryer.
