• You set the device to a FM radio channel with no local frequency..I use 87.9..and the radio plays your selection from your phone via bluetooth connection to your car radio and car speakers (I play spotify)

• No the device is not a radio. You must use Bluetooth and play music from a cellphone playlist, downloaded music or operate hands free calls via a FM frequency in your car.
