A:AnswerWe are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your camera.
Please make sure you are using one of the recommended SD cards. The Kingston Canvas Go, Kingston Canvas React, SanDisk High Endurance are all recommended brands that works well in any Rexing dash camera.
Another thing, make sure the SD card isn't corrupted by simply trying another SD card.
You should try updating the firmware from RexngUSA if you are still having issues.
Please try reaching out to Rexing support via email at [email protected] if you still need assistance
A:AnswerThis mirror records both front and rear at the same time as long as it's on. If you swipe the screen to the side you change the view from front to back, but it still records both.
A:AnswerYes the camera is weather proof. I tape the connector up for added protection. I have similar systems on othe vehicles that have been working for seversl yesrs without problrms.
A:AnswerOnce you turn off the video display, the actual mirror is dark. there's no adjustability. I kind of miss the auto dimming mirror it is mounted over but I'll get by.
A:AnswerWe have two different hardwire kits that are compatible with your device.
The Smart and the Intelligent hardwire kits.
Parking mode will turn the camera on when it detects vibrations or motion while the vehicle is off and parked. The Smart can only detect vibrations (like collisions) and the Intelligent can detect both vibrations and motion.
A:AnswerYes, the basic functionality isn't affected. with both cams working, you'll hear a double clink sound when it begins to record. With just the front on, it will only clink once.
A:AnswerYes. It will automatically save the current recording if it detects an impact. You can select the detection threshold in settings. It will even do this when parked IF you wire it to be connected to the car battery when the ignition is off. Just don't buy the Rexing kit for that. It doesn't work with this cam.
A:AnswerI have mine pointed down since I don't use the mirror as a mirror anymore -- only to display the Rear camera. The only time I get the glare now is if there is something bright laying in the back seat.
Remember to readjust the front camera if you decide to do this.
