• If hardwired, it will turn itself on when the G-sensor senses vibrations from a collision, but it will never record the entire night.

• Yes, if you use the Type-C smart hardwire kit (included) to install it... I didn't though, I prefer the in-car power cable (also included) for plugging the dash cam to the 12V cigarette lighter socket.
