Hello! Since the M3 has transitioned to use the USB type C it is possible, you may need to at least purchase a MINI usb female to male type C cable. However, it is possible the M3 you get will be a MINI usb one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If the M2 uses the standard micro-USB connection for power (all the dashcams I have ever bought used this) I cannot see why you could not do exactly what you say. I would buy one, try it and return it (or have it installed) if there are problems.
