Nope. Just install a high def sd card for your recordings.

There is no subscription service needed for this. They do offer a free app, but the app is worthless. The app will only download the information from the device on request, not automatically. I opted to purchase a second micro-SD card for the purpose of downloading the clips to my PC instead of my phone.

No, there are no subscriptions needed as our cameras do not use any cloud data base what so ever.
