I bet the ad company blurred that trucks plates on purpose. No need getting sued over a picture. As for the camera, the picture quality is great. The viewing screen is small, but those lenses don't miss a thing. The recordings are stored on an sd card, which when viewed give a more detailed view than this smaller screen can provide. I would suggest watching a few Youtube reviews. I have included a few pics to try and give perspective. I took a few pictures of my screen with my phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Picture Quality is good and license plates are readable from the camera. The video itself can be viewed on different video players to get a better picture of the license plate.

As they say, it only works REALLY good when you’re using HALF of the capability you’re paying for. It’s true too. I’ve only been able to read ONE license plate from footage. That was at night. Without upscaling post-video, it leaves a lot to be desired. At the price point of some of the better video software solutions, you might as well have just spent the extra cash up-front, and bought a fancy high-quality one to begin with. Other facts about the Rexing R4 since Ives owned it over the last 4 months. The right channel only records upside down, and has this weird glitchy effect to it. the gps doesn’t always work. The app and connectivity are abhorrent. The screen on the camera will freeze randomly if you’re operating the buttons on the camera in parks, I’m pretty sure parking mode doesn’t actually work either. They advertise it can withstand extreme temps, open the manual and one of the first things it says is don’t expose to extreme temps…original kit did not come with micro fuse taps. Couldn’t find them local, so I called Rexing. They kindly Sent them off, but I had to wait another week for those to arrive. If you have a vehicle that has any sort of dome attached to your mirror, that will likely obstruct the left camera view. I had to mount it lower than the mirror and that is not good either.

However, even with all 4 cameras turned on, the quality of the sensor will be clear enough to make important details in the event of an accident. However, please note that to be able to pull up license plates, it is very dependent on the weather and time of date as well as speed when driving.
