“It turns on when I start the truck no problem but it takes like 20-30 minutes to shut off on it’s own so your answer is not correct it’s plugged into the cigarette lighter port in the directions it also says that it will turn on and off installed this way”

Hi! Some vehicle's do not lose power completely for some time after the vehicle is shut off. It may be that your cigarette lighter port works this way. Power via the cigarette lighter is different for all vehicles. Some shut off with the ignition, some are constant, and some don't lose power after some time.
