Hello, Unfortunately, you would be unable to power the dashcam effectively through the USB/USB C port in your vehicle. The problem with USB ports is that most USB ports in vehicles do not emit sufficient voltage to power our dashcams. USB ports in vehicles or computers typically emit around 5 to 6 volts of power which would not be sufficient to be used with our dashcams. Thus leading to random restarting, not recording properly or simply not turning on at all. Hope this answers your question!
