Hello! No. The dashcam is only able to use the power that is being sent out. Due to this, it is not able to drain a vehicle. However, please keep in mind that if the hardwire kit is installed incorrectly or if the hardwire kit is defective, there's a faint possibility of it carrying over and draining the battery as the dashcam will not know when the vehicle has been turned off.
