I am not positive, but I believe the "plus" is an exclusive bundle "for Best Buy" model that includes the bonus micro sd card. The only model on the manufacturer site with this same rear camera is the Rexing V1P 4K Dual Channel Dash Cam 4K+1080p with Wi-Fi which does not include an sd card. If it were me, I would use the firmware for Rexing V1P 4K Dual Channel Dash Cam 4K+1080p with Wi-Fi. Connect to your phone using wifi and download it that way. I didn't mess with the firmware. I'm not sure that the firmware update is necessary. I don't have any problems with mine. It's an incredible little dash cam. It is a little quirky to connect it to your phone wifi, and the instructions aren't very clear.
