Hello! With the hardwire kit, once the vehicle is off, the dashcam will appear to turn off but it will actually go into parking mode. This allows it to be able engage the sensors when need be. It is not recording 24/7 in this mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it completely shuts off until it detects that something hit the car and then it turns on records for a bit then turns off. if u use the intelligent kit it does the same but turns on if motion or movement is detected
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The camera unit shuts off completely when the engine is shut-off, and doesn't record unless the motion detector or the G-Sensor gets triggered. This is because the hardware kit takes over when the engine is switched off. In my experience it does take about 1 or 2 seconds to boot up and start recording, which isn't ideal, but to be expected. The hardwire kit does have a automatic battery low voltage shut-off as well, so as to prevent the battery from being drained to the point where your car won't start. However, if you have a healthy battery, this shouldn't be a problem!
