Yes, the hardwire kit is $10, is available at Best Buy or Amazon, and the unit can be unplugged and used in another vehicle. However, if you were to move it to another vehicle, it would not be practical to move the rear camera; you would have to unplug the rear camera and just use the front camera. I bought two, one for each of my vehicles, the installation was rather easy and the quality is fantastic!

Please try again later.yes and actually you can hardwire it in one vehicle and use the cigarette light option in another and not have to purchase anything since the extra equipment came in the package including mounting brackets and tape. You may have purchase additional hardware from rexing since best buy or other dealers may not have the accessories readily abailable.
