• Yes but I will not recommend it as the view is too small to significantly make out your environment.

• Depending on where you place your head unit and if you have your screen open the whole time, you can use it as a back up cam.

• I think yes, it can be used as backup camera, only thing is you need to keep screen on and check rear view on screen and set camera position correctly so that you can see cars or object behind your card while backing up.
