Have you tried restarting your Xbox? Try restarting it with the headphones connected and try it without. If that doesn’t work, try a different USB port.

First off, did you make sure the switch on the wireless adapter was set properly? Console controller symbol for Xbox or "PC" for PC, PlayStation or docked Nintendo Switch? The adapter will show a red indicator light when powered but not connected, and purple when both powered and connected to the headset. Since it's working on PC, then it sounds like both headset and adapter are working, have power, and are already paired. That pairing between headset and adapter stays put as you move between PC and Xbox. So I'm thinking it's the adapter switch or your Xbox console audio settings.
