That sounds like something is wrong with the headset. A bad soldering point or power wires touching audio wires inside perhaps. I would exchange them.

Both operate on 2.4GHz RF wireless, and this is the most common cause of static noise - interference between the two devices competing on the same 2.4GHz frequency. And the simple way to resolve it is to just create more space between the WiFi router and wireless adapter for the headset. Also, some routers have the option of 2.4 or 5GHz and allow you to turn off 2.4GHz. If that's an option, turn off the 2.4GHz on your router and operate just on the 5GHz.
