Yes of course, but it will deteriorate your camera as fast as much as it is exposed to the elements, providing that is an indoor camera (not weather proofed). I did this with one indoor camera and it has lasted me over 2 years under the ledge, but I took the precaution to set it in a way the water or even overspray of rain won´t reach it.
