Yes, these motion sensors do work during the day. A couple of things to keep in mind though. First, like nearly all motion sensors, they detect motion traversing the field of view much better than motion directly towards or away from the sensor. Second, you don’t want to place these in a location that has direct sunlight on the sensor as the sunlight will “confuse” the sensor, Third and finally, you will want to follow Rings recommendation to mount these about 7’ off of the floor for ideal detection. Once mounted you will be able to see how well they work in the Ring app. Select devices from the hamburger menu, then your Alarm Base Station then you’ll be able to see whether your sensors are correctly detecting motion.
