  • QuestionI want to put some of the sensors in my garage and some sensors in my house but the garage has a separate WiFi from my house WiFi. Does that cause any complications?

    • Answer Yes, having separate WiFi networks could cause connectivity issues. The Ring Alarm system needs all components (Base Station, Keypad, and sensors) to communicate over the same network. If your garage and house are on different WiFi networks, this may impact the system’s functionality

The base station is the heart of the system and is actively connected to and commands all of the Ring Alarm devices connected to the system.
