• No it will not. It listens to the smoke detector then notifies ring app.

• No it’s standalone and doesn’t connect to each other, only directly to the system. It’s not worth getting and after trying just one unit, I’d like to send the couple I bought back, but beyond my return timeframe. You install it NEAR and existing smoke detector and it only listens for the other device to alarm.
