it will sleep when no actives are in the zone of your car, the battery will never be drain by the ring cam since it will stop feeding from the battery if the battery reach certain point.

Please try again later.There is a drain to the battery the problem is the software keeps shutting the unit off after a few minutes or sometimes a few hours thinking that it has depleted your battery which means your car is unprotected in your driveway or wherever you park it.
