“I have a wired system, ring pro 2 and a single regular door bell . My chimes are regular wired chimes not the ring chimes. I have a problem of the chimes getting very hot . I think it my be the transformer size, I'm currently using a 16 volt 30VA trans.”

Hi Al. Thanks for reaching out. Ring devices can feel warm or hot to the touch when connected to an external power source, which is expected behavior with any type of electronic.
