It’s easy to inactivate you’re current doorbell from the Ring app and only use the Chime

If you so desire, you'll have the option to not have your home's chime kit sound. This can be found in the In-home Chime Kit Settings through the Ring app. For more information on the compatibility of existing chime kits, please see this article: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059789591-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-2-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List The Ring Chime Pro has no effect on this setting. You can use a Ring Chime Pro as an additional wireless doorbell for your Ring Video Doorbell's and Ring cameras.
