“I have the Ring wired doorbell. Everything works fine but I can't get my original mechanical doorbell chime to work. I selected mechanical in the app and the transformer voltage is 12VAC measured. Any suggestions?.”

Hi Rich. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The Ring Wired Doorbell Plus requires a doorbell transformer rated at 16-24 VAC 50/60HZ, 10-40 VA max. The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro requires 16-24 VAC, 50/60Hz, 30-40 VA max. A symptom of insufficient power includes not correctly ringing your existing internal doorbell. We recommend upgrading your transformer with at least 16 VAC and at least 30-40 VA max and 50/60Hz. Do not use a halogen or garden-lighting transformer or a DC transformer/power supply.
