You can adjust the sensitivity and also the area in the picture that will trigger on motion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, in theory. In the app you can turn sensitivity from "everything" down to "people". You can also modify the range. I turned mine down to "people" and range as small as it would go, but the lights still went on and off all night from the slightest breeze moving leaves. I removed the unit and returned it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have a cat that visits our front porch all through the night. I have it set to people only mode. Well, apparently, Ring thinks an 8 lb cat is a person! DISGUSTED! I wish I had known this before I invested so much money in Ring products. Also, if you try to get help, they will try to get you to jump through a million hoops in spite of the fact that, if you google the problem, it is well-known and a VERY common issue. Ring finally admitted to one guy that the problem is known and they are working on it but the problem continues on into a new year... and a new year... and a new year. So much for Ring having a "people only" mode. Do like me and warm people that a working "people only" mode (especially on wired modules) does NOT exist.
