Hi Rhosheec Thank you for taking the time to ask this question. The Ring Floodlight Cam Plus Outdoor Wired is designed to be hardwired into your home's existing electrical wiring. First, turn off the power at your circuit breaker to the location where you plan to install the camera. You will need a 4-inch round UL-listed weatherproof electrical box already mounted on the outside of your home. Once the power is off, connect the camera's wiring to your home's electrical wires (matching hot, neutral, and ground), secure the mounting bracket to the electrical box, and attach the camera to the bracket. After everything is connected, turn the power back on and complete the setup through the Ring app on your phone. For safety, if you are not comfortable working with electrical wiring, we recommend hiring a licensed electrician.
