siren only goes on when you turn it on. Motion does not activate the alarm

They claim it's over 100 dB but after purchase and the return time passes a firmware update will throttle back the volume of the siren. Check their own forums. Ring misleads about adjusting the volume. Truth is the company has stated it's to protect them against lawsuits from damaging a criminals hearing. Owners requested control of the alarm but Ring states none is planned (though other devices have the programming to do it).

When motion is detected, it does not automatically trigger the siren. Also, the siren is only activated manually. The volume of the siren is not able to be adjusted.
