Depends upon your settings - check to make sure they are at optimum for saving battery - it gets drained if you are constantly using it - there is no need to keep it very sensitive - so if you adjust your settings the battery will usually work for 30 to 45 days - I get large trucks and cars that set mine off so I just shorten the range - the instructions are very easy to follow Good Luck either that or you received a defective battery - check with Ring - they are very helpful
