There are several factors that can affect the proper operation of these motion detectors. They include any obstacles/obstructions that could interfere with its reception such as brick walls, appliances etc. These variables make it difficult to determine if in fact they will work in Your circumstance. I have mine set about 50 feet from my RING bridge, which needs to be our purchased separately in order for it to operate. Mine works fine. I attached a picture of the bridge you need.
